About the Team
The team you will be joining is the Worldwide Support team at Nutanix, located in San Jose, CA. This team is dedicated to providing expert technical support to enterprise customers, ensuring they maximize their investment in Nutanix technologies. The mission of the Worldwide Support team is to deliver high-quality support solutions while continuously improving the serviceability of Nutanix products, all driven by a strong commitment to customer success and satisfaction.
You will report to the Sr. Manager, Worldwide Support, who emphasizes a leadership style that is both empowering and supportive, prioritizing personal development and professional growth within the team. The work setup allows for a hybrid model, requiring employees to be in the office three days a week. In comparison, the remaining two days can be spent working from home, facilitating a balance between collaboration and flexibility.
This role does not require any travel, allowing you to focus entirely on supporting our customers and improving the product experience from the San Jose office environment.
Your Role
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues for enterprise customers, primarily focusing on virtualization, networking, and Linux systems.
- Champion customer success by delivering high-quality support experiences and ensuring clients maximize their investment in the Nutanix platform.
- Collaborate with internal development teams to identify defects, suggest product improvements, and inspire changes to enhance serviceability.
- Engage with technology partners (e.g., VMware, Citrix, Microsoft) to collaboratively resolve issues and drive enhancements within the product ecosystem.
- Contribute to and develop internal and external knowledge bases for best practices in troubleshooting, product features, and customer engagement.
- Participate in scheduled rotational support, including off-hours coverage, to ensure continuous service availability for all customers.
- Actively pursue continuous learning opportunities through Nutanix training and industry certifications to enhance technical expertise and service delivery.
- Establish relationships within the team and with stakeholders to foster a culture of collaboration and ongoing improvement in operational processes.
What You Will Bring
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa status, such as an F-1, H-1 B, or TN visa.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in core infrastructure technologies, including Virtualization, Networking, and Linux Systems.
- Expertise in troubleshooting Virtualization (preferably VMware ESXi) and Networking (preferably layer 2/3).
- Strong proficiency in Linux Systems Administration (preferably CLI).
- A BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science (CS) or a related field is required.
- Experience in DevOps, Cloud environments, and Enterprise Storage.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality support.
- Bilingual proficiency and relevant industry certifications are a plus.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 106,400 and USD $ 212,400 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
